Vitrobot Mark IV

Vitrobot Mark IV

Vitrification rapidly cools samples, preserving their natural structure without crystallization. It is an essential step in structural biology applications such as Single Particle Analysis (SPA), cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET), and MicroED. The Vitrobot Mark IV is a useful instrument for plunge-freezing samples on EM grids with liquid ethane, after removing excess fluid by automatic blotting. This instrument provides precise control over critical parameters and automates the vitrification process, allowing for fast, easy, and reproducible sample preparation.

Features

  • Automated and reproducible vitrification process of aqueous suspensions
  • Precise control of critical process parameters
  • Enclosed environmental chamber with controlled humidity and temperature
  • High sample throughput
  • Flexible and user-friendly interface
  • Semi-automated grid transfer
  • Blotting with double-sided filter paper
