Data Collection
GeneScan results are sent to clients as zipped file through Online Data Delivery System (ODDS), notification will be sent to the email provided on the service request form upon data delivery.
Our current turn-around time is 1-2 working days after sample submission. However, the turn-around time could be longer at times due to unforeseeable circumstances and busy sequencing schedules.
We recommend using the software GeneMapper v3.7 from ABI for microsatellite analysis.
This software is available on one of our user data analysis workstations (User PC#2) in Room 6-01 at CPOS.
Clients may make advanced bookings for the workstation via our online resource booking system (ORBS) or at our reception counter (Room 6-02).
Terms of Service
Re-run Policy
Failed GeneScan runs will be subjected to in-house QC auditing.
If the failure is determined to be instrument-associated, e.g. gel anomalies, samples will be automatically re-run at no extra charge to the client.
If the failure is determined to be sample-associated, no re-run will be performed. Instead, CPOS can provide consultations including a suitable protocol that may improve the GeneScan results.
Our goal is to give you the highest quality of microsatellite analysis data possible.
