Seminar overview
Metabolic flux analysis, a significant cell physiology experiment, studies metabolite flow within biological systems to understand cellular metabolism and regulation. The stable-isotope tracing technique, primarily using a 13C-tracer, is a popular MS-based metabolomics method. Other tracers like 15N- or 2H- are also employed based on experimental goals.
We are delighted to introduce a NEW metabolomics service on metabolic flux analysis using Vanquish UHPLC system (LC) coupled to a high-resolution accurate mass spectrometer (HRAM) Orbitrap Exploris 120 MS, which can detect the above-mentioned isotopes from selected metabolic pathways.
Come attend the introductory seminar to hear from our service scientist about the new service, the latest updates and much more.
Key features:
- First-hand experience of our internal demo data on selected metabolic pathways.
- Customized pathways method development is possible.
- Sample type and requirements: Cell lysate (≥5M cells), plasma/serum (≥100ul) & tissues (≥50mg), analyte dependent.
- MS runs for positive and/or negative scan are available.
Prior registration is required. For further service enquiries, please contact us at 2831 5482 or pmcore.cpos@hku.hk
