Demonstration Workshop – Zeiss Lattice Lightsheet 7

Demonstration Workshop – Zeiss Lattice Lightsheet 7

The ZEISS Lattice Lightsheet 7 enables the remarkable 3D-image acquisition speed typical for lightsheet techniques, at subcellular resolution due to a modified lightsheet structure. All along with decreasing damage to cells caused by phototoxicity and minimizing photo-bleaching of fluorescent dyes & protein. As introduced by Nobel laureate Eric Betzig and colleagues at HHMI Janelia Research Campus lattice lightsheet microscopy adds to the basic lightsheet principle a new illumination scheme that produces particularly thin sheets of illumination light. Thus, lattice lightsheet microscopy enables optical sectioning to resolve sub-cellular detail within the context of fast 3D-volume imaging. Target applications span fast to long-term live imaging of classical adherent- and 3D-cultured cells to spheroids, organoids and small organisms.
