IVIS Spectrum is an advanced pre-clinical optical imaging system which facilitates non-invasive longitudinal monitoring of disease progression, cell trafficking and gene expression patterns in living animals. Quantitative monitoring of both bioluminescent and fluorescent reporters across the blue to almost infrared wavelength spectrum is possible. It can also create 3D tomography images that permit source localization and concentration, as well as anatomical analysis using a 3D mouse atlas in software. Applications:
- Tumor development monitoring or with bioluminescent reporter (e.g. Firefly luciferase)
- Microbiological infection tracking with fluorescent reporter (e.g. GFP, mCherry)
- Pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics
- in vivo and ex vivo inflammation, cardiovascular, neurology, respiratory and stem cell research
