Bruker timsTOF Pro combines ion mobility with quadrupole and Time of Flight (QTOF) technology
- It has 2 unique separation and sequencing technologies – Trapped Ion Mobility Spectrometry (TIMS) and Parallel Accumulation Serial Fragmentation (PASEF)
- TIMS is a separation technique in gas phase, which resolves sample complexity with additional dimension of separation on top of liquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry (MS). Ions are accumulated and released dependent on their mobility
- With PASEF technology >120 Hz sequencing speed can be achieved with a duty cycle nearly without ion loss to increase sensitivity, peak capacity and confidence in compound characterization
- Applications: shotgun proteomics, glycoproteomics, phosphoproteomics and lipidomics
Features:
- Mass analyzing range 20 – 40,000
- Mass accuracy with internal calibrant: better than 800ppb RMS Error
- Resolution of 50,000 FSR (full sensitivity resolution) (@ 1222 m/z)
- Acquisition rate: >120 Hz in PASEF mode
