Total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) is an inverted fluorescence microscopy equipped with four laser lines (405nm, 488nm, 561nm and 640nm) and ring TIRF module, which delivers images with an outstandingly high axial resolution below 100 nm. This allows the observation of membrane-associated processes like cell adhesion, hormone binding, molecule transport and exocytotic and endocytotic processes.
